Go see Dr. Bauman. He will change your life.

It was back in 1994 when I first realized I had a hearing challenge, it was concerning to have hearing loss at a young age.
Dr. Bauman is the most knowledgeable, most renowned, and most caring audiologist, both myself and my husband travel 3000 miles to see him!
Our hearing aids have made hearing and interacting in everyday life possible again!
If you are considering booking an appointment with Dr. Bauman, you should do it. Go to the best, don’t consider anyone else.

I grew up with a mom who suffered through her own hearing loss never seeking help, and she lost out on so much as a result.
Well, that wasn’t going to be the case for me, so when I realized I too was starting to ask people to repeat themselves many times over, along with suffering the awful sensations of what I believed was tinnitus, I decided to do something about it.
Before I knew about Dr. Bauman, I had sought out another audiologist in my area who tried me out with multiple hearing aids, but to no avail. At that point I realized I needed someone more specialized in tinnitus. I was then introduced to Dr. Bauman and immediately called his office.
The minute I walked into Dr. Bauman’s office, I knew I was in the right place. It’s over an hour’s drive, but I would drive that any day of the week to see him. He is just so knowledgeable, caring, thoughtful, helpful and compassionate. He really does care about each person as if he/she is his only patient.
I thought my problem was just tinnitus, but after he took the time to really get to the root of my problem, he told me I had a hearing loss and gave me all the advice, tools and support to help me. He knows everything there is to know about hearing loss, and he listens and is very insightful. He got to know me well and always makes me feel comfortable every time I see him, which is so important for someone who often feels anxious.
Because of Dr Bauman’s support and expertise, my tinnitus has completely made a 180 and it’s now perfectly manageable. I followed his 8-month program religiously, and I’m so grateful I did, as my life has become a lot more enjoyable now that I am able to manage my tinnitus and hear properly again.

His expertise showed me better ways to deal with the ringing. At this time, I was also experiencing hearing loss. He was able to fit me with hearing aids that helped combat both issues.

I first realized I had a hearing challenge when my children noticed that I was having trouble hearing them and suggested that I consult an audiologist. After years of dissatisfaction with other hearing professionals, I decided to visit AVI.
From the moment I walked in, the warmth and professionalism of the staff and the clinical setting reassured me that I had made the right choice. Without my hearing aids, I am 95% deaf, but with them, my hearing improves by 90%, significantly enhancing my quality of life.
I would highly recommend AVI to anyone concerned about their hearing—it’s the best audiological clinic I’ve found after visiting many others over the past 15 years.

The first moment I realized something was wrong with my ears occurred after a drug interaction caused nerve damage. Before contacting the clinic, I had concerns that there might be no further help available for my hearing loss. However, my first impressions of AVI New England were that everyone was friendly and professional.
Since I started wearing hearing aids, they have made a huge and positive difference. For anyone concerned about their hearing and thinking about visiting, I would say to schedule a visit if you want to improve your hearing!

I’ve had hyperacusis for many years, and it was getting worse. That’s when I decided to seek assistance. I found everyone to be kind, understanding, and helpful.
Since I began wearing hearing aids, they have made a significant impact on my life by helping to desensitize my brain, ensuring that hyperacusis doesn’t get the best of me. Additionally, since I also experience mild hearing loss, the hearing aids help me hear better and more easily during conversations. Please try to get over the stigma; hearing aids (if needed) will help you and those you love.

Dr. Bauman will assess you and match you to the best solution.

My hearing problem has been an ongoing issue for over 25 years, so it’s a bit difficult to pinpoint the exact moment I first realized something was wrong with my ears. However, I can confidently say that Dr. Bauman has helped us more than any other provider we had before visiting him, and we had two other providers before finding him over 10 years ago. My first impression of the clinic was that everyone was kind and methodical in their approach.
As for my hearing aids, they have impacted my life in various ways; like anything, there’s been a mix of good and bad experiences. We drive an hour and a half one way just to see Dr. Bauman, and it is well worth it.

I first realized I had a hearing challenge several years ago when tinnitus began to take over my life. The constant ringing in my ears was becoming so obtrusive that I was losing sleep, and it was affecting my cognitive abilities. As a systems analyst working internationally, I couldn’t let tinnitus rule my waking and sleeping hours, but that’s exactly what was happening. I was a wreck.
Before I saw Dr. Bauman, I visited an ENT who told me nothing could be done for tinnitus aside from trying lipoflavonoid supplements. When that didn’t work, I turned to ginkgo biloba, which provided some short-lived relief but came with dangerous side effects. A friend who also suffered from tinnitus recommended I see Dr. Bauman. My only fear was that, once again, I’d meet another dead end in my pursuit of relief.
When I first met Dr. Bauman, he was immediately sympathetic and reassured me that something could be done to help with my tinnitus. During the hearing test, I was also made aware of the extent of my actual hearing loss, which I hadn’t realized before. Since July 2014, I’ve been wearing hearing aids, and they’ve been a lifesaver for me. I’ve kept up with the evolving technology, and I’ve learned that the key to hearing aids is keeping them tuned to your hearing changes. Many people don’t realize that their hearing aids need adjustments over time, so they stop wearing them, thinking they no longer work.
If you’re concerned about your hearing, don’t wait—do it now!

The moment I first realized something was up with my ears was while I was sitting at a long table with friends in a restaurant. At that time, I had to confront the acceptance that I was getting older, which made me a bit apprehensive. Janice was very helpful, and I felt I was in good hands with her.
Since I started wearing hearing aids, they have significantly helped me during social events and family gatherings. Wearing them [hearing aids] has made a powerful positive impact on my life. If someone is concerned about their hearing and is considering visiting, I would recommend AVI to anyone looking for support with their hearing.

I first realized something was wrong with my hearing when I had difficulty hearing people on the phone at work, even with the volume turned all the way up. It was incredibly frustrating not to hear everything being reported to me, and I was tired of constantly asking people to repeat themselves or having to guess what I thought they said. My biggest concern was that this hearing loss might be permanent.
Before contacting the clinic, I worried that no matter what hearing device I was prescribed, it wouldn’t help. But when I arrived, my first impression was of a very professional and caring staff. Dr. N. Bauman was extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and he took the time to answer all my questions.
Now that I’m wearing hearing aids, I’m so grateful. They’ve allowed me to hear people, music, nature, and so many sounds I didn’t realize I’d been missing for years. If anyone is concerned about their hearing, I would strongly encourage them to get evaluated. I noticed my hearing wasn’t right at a young age, but I waited, and I shouldn’t have.

I first realized something was wrong with my hearing when my son, still in high school at the time, asked why I kept saying, “What did you say?” so much. He was genuinely concerned that it was affecting our ability to communicate easily. Before contacting the clinic, I had several concerns. I worried I’d be seen as extremely old and out of touch because I had to wear a hearing aid. I also doubted whether the hearing aids would work, worried they would squeak, be noisy, require a lot of upkeep, and not really improve my life. The potential expense was another concern.
When I first visited the clinic, everyone was kind and seriously knowledgeable about hearing. Since getting my hearing aids, my life has changed. I used to tune out conversations because I couldn’t decipher what people were saying. Certain voices, especially my young niece’s and my granddaughter’s, were at pitches I just couldn’t hear. Now, with my hearing equipment, I can finally hear them.
To anyone concerned about their hearing, I’d say, you should try it—you won’t be sorry. You have so much life to gain. If not now, when?

I first realized I had a hearing issue forty years ago when I suddenly lost all hearing in my right ear. It was very concerning. When I decided to seek help, I didn’t have any preconceived fears or concerns, but I was immediately impressed by how extremely professional and thorough everyone was.
Now, I can’t function without my hearing aids—they have been essential to my daily life. Dr. Bauman is the BEST, and he will find a hearing aid that suits your needs and budget.

My hearing issues began after a double ear infection, and only part of my hearing came back. At first, I didn’t want hearing aids, but after some time, I gave in—and it turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made. I had no fears or concerns about switching to AVI New England, and my first impression was how caring and friendly the staff were.
Now, I do wear hearing aids, and as I said before, it’s the best decision I have made. To anyone concerned about their hearing, I would say you’ll receive a professional hearing test, a clear explanation, and the best advice on which hearing aids will suit your needs at AVI New England.

I first became concerned about my hearing when I started experiencing ringing in my ears when I was twelve after being exposed to a very loud noise. The ringing never went away, and with limited options for help, I did my best to manage it. Many years later, hearing loss was detected along with the severe ringing, and it became harder to hear people. I found myself saying “What?” far too often, and I knew I needed help with both the ringing and the hearing loss. My search led me here.
My main concern was whether the volume of the ringing could be reduced. When I arrived, I was comforted to finally find someone who gave me hope that relief was possible. Since getting hearing aids, I rarely say “What?” anymore, and the ringing has become much less of a daily issue.
Do not be embarrassed by anything that has the potential to make life so much more enjoyable for you and those around you. Most people I meet don’t even realize I’m wearing hearing aids

I first realized I had hearing problems at a very young age when I couldn’t understand my father’s sermons in church. I didn’t have any concerns about seeking help because Dr. Bauman had already supplied me with hearing aids before he began AVI. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable—the best audiologist I’ve ever visited over the years.
My first impression of AVI was that the staff is both professional and compassionate. Now, my hearing aids allow me to understand my grandchildren, and that is truly a gift. If you’re concerned about your hearing, I can say that Dr. Bauman is the best audiologist I’ve come across in my 40 years of wearing hearing aids.

I first realized I had a hearing problem thanks to the honesty and love of my fiancée, now my wife. She helped me understand that something was wrong. I didn’t have any fears or concerns before seeking help, and although I don’t remember my first impressions, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, largely because of Janice Howard.
Wearing hearing aids has been a positive change in my life, and if anyone is concerned about their hearing, I would strongly recommend they see Janice Howard.

I first realized I had a hearing issue when my adult kids started getting annoyed with me constantly saying, “What?” I didn’t have any fears about seeking help, as I had hearing aids before, and this was just an update. My first impression of the clinic was that everyone was very kind and professional.
Since updating my hearing aids, it’s been so much easier to hear, especially with the Bluetooth connections. If someone is concerned about their hearing, I’d recommend making an appointment and seeing what they think.
