Trusted Local Hearing Care Available For Orange, CT

Originally part of Wallingford, Cheshire, CT was settled in 1694, known as New Cheshire Parish, becoming an independent town in 1780. As an early settlement in New England, our community is home to several National Register of Historic Places sites, like the Cheshire Historic and Marion Historic Districts, the Farmington Canal Lock, and the First Congregational Church of Cheshire.

Members of the New Haven Colony began to purchase land from the Paugusset Native Americans in 1639, leading to the development of the area and the formation of the town of Orange, CT (named for William III of England, the Prince of Orange) in the early 19th century. The larger town was divided in 1921 when West Haven split off from Orange to become an independent community.

Several locations in Orange are on the National Registry of Historic Places, including the houses of Colonel Asa Platt, Henry F. Miller, and William Andrew, as well as the Orange Center Historic District, which takes in our community’s downtown area. Our community is the home of the North American headquarters of Pez candies as well as the headquarters of Avangrid (Southern Connecticut Gas) and the United Illuminating Company.

Our community was the deployment site for Nike missiles to protect New Haven during the Cold War and the home of the 103rd Air Control and Warning Squadron of the Connecticut National Guard, but we stick to our country roots by holding an Orange Country Fair. Visitors and residents of our community also enjoy outdoor life at the Housatonic Overlook, Maltby Lakes, the Racebrook Tract and Wepawaug Trails, and the Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park.

Enjoying all that our community has to offer and interacting with your neighbors is enhanced by better hearing. Our co-founder, Dr. Bauman, who has a major impact on the hearing care industry, and our AVI New England clinic in Hamden, make it possible for Orange, CT and nearby communities to take advantage of personalized and local solutions to address hearing loss, tinnitus, balance disorders and, other hearing care services we provide.
