Trusted Local Hearing Care Available For Westport, CT
Originally part of Wallingford, Cheshire, CT was settled in 1694, known as New Cheshire Parish, becoming an independent town in 1780. As an early settlement in New England, our community is home to several National Register of Historic Places sites, like the Cheshire Historic and Marion Historic Districts, the Farmington Canal Lock, and the First Congregational Church of Cheshire.
Located on Connecticut’s Gold Coast, Westport, CT is ranked 19th among the 100 richest places in America. Our community was called Bankside originally, named for the five Bankside farmers whose families grew and prospered in the area, then Green’s Farm in honor of one specific family among them, but was finally incorporated as Westport in 1835.
The primary focus of our community was on agriculture until it went through a cultural transformation in the early 1900s when musicians, artists, and authors, such as F. Scott Fitzgerald, made Westport their home in order to escape the commuting demands of the city. Dubbed as “creative heaven,” our community’s rolling hills, beaches, and natural beauty, Westport became fashionable for the wealthy of New York.
Our community has undergone another transformation in the 21st century, as finance and insurance, as well as professional, scientific, and technical services, began to emerge with companies like Bridgewater Associates, Canaan Partnership, BNY Mellon, and Terex calling Westport home.
Our town’s hills, beaches, and natural beauty are elements that enhance your quality of life, but their enjoyment is limited when you struggle with hearing challenges. Thankfully, Dr. Bauman, a major contributor in the field of audiology worldwide and co-founder of AVI New England, makes it easy for individuals in Westport and nearby communities to take advantage of personalized and local solutions that address hearing loss, tinnitus, sound sensitivity issues, balance disorders, and other hearing care services we offer at our Norwalk, CT clinic.
